Mr Mifsud on speech nighthttp://www.cbc.sa.edu.au/newsletter/2009/2009T4W04.pdf

Mr Mifsud- I wish to thank the students, staff and parents who made CBC 2009 Speech Night such a huge success. Congratulations to all who participated in the event. The Junior Campus Choir’s rendition of ‘September’ complete with dance moves proved to be very entertaining. I wish to thank College Vice Captain David Russo who gave an inspirational speech on behalf of 2009 College captain Kieran Kierns who was taken to hospital with appendicitis the night before – our thoughts are with Kieran for a speedy recovery. A number of parents have asked me for a copy of Dr Tinsey’s Speech (EREA Executive Director), which I will place on our College Website.

My opinion- Speech night was fun until i got my award. then i went into the crowd and it became boring. the green rome was nice and call but it got a bit stuffy out in the crowd. i was using my ipod for most of the night but shh! dont tell anyone. lol

i think they could make the colleges most prestigous night a bit more entertaining.

CBC 8/165 def. Pultney 42

It was a marvellous day for a game of cricket and there was no dissapointment from the CBC bowlers, bowling PGS (Pultney Grammar) out for 42 of just 17 overs. A deserving congratulations goes to Roeland Reyes, who was definately player of the day with an outstanding performance taking 4 wickets for 7 runs and making an unbeaten 59 n.o. Good tight bowling from Hayden kept the batsman concentrating who also picked up 2/1. Avishka made his highest score with 27 n.o. which was a good effort but unfortunately could not make it to the second day due to illness.

It was an outstanding effort from the boys and hopefully they can keep up the good work for the rest of the season.

a man killed in broad daylight in Naples by a “Hitman” on May 11 this year. Right in front a cafe a mafia-style murder with in different bystanders by this “Hitman”. The man killed, Mariano Bacio Terracino, was a 53 year old man with mafia criminal record. Terracino is seen smoking a cigarette outside a bar in the central Sanita neighbourhood. The killer enters the bar, where there are at least six people, then emerges and shoots Terracino at point-blank range. When Terracino falls on the ground, the killer finishes him off with a bullet to the head. Police have been searching for 5 months and found no lead.
